Just got Komplete 6. F*ck it takes a while to install, but that's what you get when you pay for something worthwhile. Wouldn't you say synthorama?

Same thing as SAiNT. There was a time when I had a really well-paid work and I got Cubase 4, Photoshop, Reaktor and lots of VST. Now I have to pay rent & food for half the money.

Those good times are over, now :-(

Logic 8, 10 or so sample CDs, Tiger, Leopard, UAD, CS3, Poser 6, iLife... and quite a few small utilities... no more dough coming in so shopping's over...

I'm paying for the internet connection I use to download all this great software.

Actually, I have bought quite a lot, mostly low cost stuff from smaller devs (Wusikstation = my best purchase by far, followed by $325 Komplete 5)

Unfortunately nothing for software, except DVBViewer... I would if I could... But also, I didn't earn nothing using warezed software. I don't live from music, but I live for music :)

I've paid for countless stuff from Ueberschall, Reason, Operating systems, UAD stuff, lots of stuff but most invaluable, jbridge. The developers deserve compensation for what they put into their products. However, I must say if I never tried some of the products here I would never purchase them or know about their potential. I don't believe the hype that these companies put out in their marketing strategies. G-Sonique's pultronic Eq for example has to find it's way on all my lead vocal tracks. With the coming of the SPL vitalizer and twin tube I have been exposed to a whole new world.

I would say the last time payed for software was around 2007 in which i purchased Cubase SE and FXpansion Guru. My last purchase was for a copy of Reason 3, which I got from Ebay and thats what it ended up being a copy a pirated copy (Grrrrrr) cost me 180 of my hard ernt cash :(
I would like to add that I complained to ebay over being jooped aswell as reporting the matter to trading standards in which they did fuk all to help me get my money back. Since then I have never paid for anything in software and have no intentions in buying in the future.
Long live us all in getting free warez Amen!!!

i tend to buy more and more software that i`ve been using already for a long time. stuff that really helps
and works will be bought someday. pro apps demand a lot of time and training to learn using them, afterwards it takes a long time finding a decent workflow and an overview about which app works best for you- so i rather take the long demo. i believe companies know and support that in delivering "warezed" versions of their (not brandnew) apps themselves to gain a longtime connection to the crowd, especially young users who don`t earn money yet. someone who was trained on using an app for years is more likely to buy it as soon as he/she is taking the pro-step and makes a living from using the software... none of the designers i know is using cracked adobe versions anymore.

When I 'discovered' these kind of sites a couple years ago I went nuts downloading like a kid in a candy store. But as time went on I found I didn't wind up using them much or even at all as far as audio apps are concerned, because the stuff I legitimately bought covers pretty much anything I need....not to mention how much time it takes to learn any one thing, the stuff I own has to get that attention rather than the warez stuff.

Audio apps I own now are: Logic 8 & 9, Komplete 5 & 6....hmmmm, thats it I think, for the big stuff...and 'just' that is a huge burden to learn! And if its something I'm gonna devote time to learn and use I'd rather own it ultimately.

I have Reason 4 I downloaded and would actually like to buy a copy of R5, if such a thing ever comes out.

What happens is you wind up getting bogged down in 'option choices'. Its usually better in the long run to keep your choices minimal and know those inside and out.

zebra 2.5, reason 4, cubase se, reaktor, the grand 2, jupiter 8v, scarbee, ppg wave, prophet v, korg m1, wavestation, arp 2600 v, bandstand , native electric piano and others..now it is enough... and now i test the rest...
